Where is Alma Alpina Lodge located?
In Obereggen 15, 39050 Obereggen, South Tyrol (Italy) – in the centre of Obereggen, close to the valley station.
How many suites does the lodge have?
The lodge has 15 stylish suites.
Is the lodge an adults-only hotel?
Yes, guests aged 14 and over are welcome.
Are pets allowed?
No, unfortunately pets are not permitted.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
No. All suites are non-smoking rooms, and the statutory Italian smoking ban applies throughout the hotel.
When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 3:00 p.m., check-out by 10:00 a.m.
Is a late check-out available?
Subject to availability, the suite can be kept until 3:00 p.m. for €50 per person – including use of the wellness area on the day of departure.
Suites & rooms
How large are the suites?
The Dolomiti, Vista and Cima suites each measure approximately 40 m², the Mirada suite approximately 80 m². Every suite offers living comfort with a private balcony and a view.
How many guests can the suites accommodate?
Dolomiti, Vista and Cima sleep up to 4 guests, the Mirada suite up to 8 guests.
How are the suites furnished?
Every suite features high-quality natural wood floors, boxspring beds, a living area with sofa and comfort armchair, desk, Wi-Fi, in-room safe and minibar. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate WC with bidet.
Are the suites built sustainably?
Yes, the suites are built to the high KlimaHaus standard and furnished by a local custom carpenter.
Do the suites have a private spa?
Selected suites and two exclusive apartments feature a Private Spa with a freestanding bathtub and a private infrared sauna.
Can I combine suites for family or friends?
Yes, two suites can be combined – ideal for families or friends.
Prices & booking
What is included in the price?
Prices are per person per day and include gourmet half-board (with a minimum stay of 5 nights), the Alma Alpina inclusive services and the SüdtirolGuestPass. The local tourist tax is charged separately.
How much is the tourist tax?
€3.70 per person (from age 14) per day, charged separately.
Are there surcharges for short stays?
Yes: €5 per person per night for stays of 3–4 nights, €11 per person per night for stays of 1–2 nights.
What discount applies to single occupancy?
The double occupancy rate less a 10 % discount.
Is there a discount for the third and fourth guest?
Yes, a 25 % discount each in the extra bed.
How is a reservation confirmed?
With written confirmation and a deposit of 30 % of the booking value. The reservation is finalised only after the deposit has been received.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Cash up to €4,999, debit cards, EC cards, credit cards (VISA, MasterCard) and prepayment by online bank transfer.
Cancellation
Until when can I cancel free of charge?
Up to 3 months before arrival – the deposit is credited or refunded less a €40 processing fee.
What cancellation fees apply later on?
Less than 3 months to 30 days before arrival: 50 % of the package price. Less than 30 days before arrival: 80 %. For late arrival or early departure: 80 %. For a no-show: 100 %.
Cuisine
What is the lodge's culinary philosophy?
The culinary philosophy is regionality – individual indulgence at the highest level, with a regional signature and genuine freshness. Every dish is prepared fresh and à la minute.
Is there a breakfast buffet?
No. Breakfast is served à la carte directly at your table.
Which breakfast options are available?
Breakfast comes in several variants – Continental, Healthy or English – with homemade specialities such as house-made jams, honey, yoghurt and bread baked in-house, regional cheeses, speck and cold cuts, as well as egg dishes, pancakes and omelette-crêpes prepared à la minute. Sparkling wine, prosecco and salmon are also available; oysters and champagne for a surcharge.
How does dinner work?
Instead of a half-board buffet, an à la carte dinner is served directly at your table in the evening, with personal service and a menu that changes daily.
Is there a wine pairing in the evening?
Yes, a wine pairing carefully matched with wines from the region and beyond is offered alongside the dinner menu.
Which day is the restaurant closed?
On Thursday evenings.
Are allergies and special dietary requirements accommodated?
Yes – on request lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan dishes are prepared. Allergies and intolerances are accommodated to the extent possible. Guests should let us know before arrival.
Can I also have lunch at the restaurant?
Yes, at lunchtime there is a fine selection of light, freshly prepared dishes; in-house guests receive a 15 % discount on all items on the lunch menu.
Wellness
What does the wellness area offer?
A year-round heated outdoor pool (30 °C), a panoramic relaxation room, a wellness bar, a Finnish sauna, a steam sauna as well as a large sunbathing meadow and garden.
What is the temperature of the outdoor pool?
The outdoor pool is heated year-round to 30 °C, with a panoramic view of the Dolomites.
Is the wellness area also adults-only?
Yes, the wellness world of Alma Alpina Lodge is an adults-only wellness world.
What does the wellness bar offer guests?
The wellness bar offers fine teas and fresh spring water.
What does the wellness bag in the suite contain?
In your suite you will find a wellness bag with sauna towels and hotel slippers, plus one soft bathrobe per person. Each additional bathrobe can be provided on request for €7.
Sports & activities
How far is it to the ski area?
The valley station of the Obereggen ski area is just 200 m from the hotel.
Which activities are possible from the lodge?
The lodge sits right in the Latemar–Sciliar–Rosengarten hiking and biking area. Guided excursions into the Dolomites (UNESCO World Natural Heritage) and paragliding in the region are also possible.
Is there a storage room for equipment?
Yes, a lockable storage room for ski, hiking and bike equipment is available, as well as a charging station for e-bikes.
How far is the nearest golf course?
The Petersberg golf course can be reached in about 25 minutes.
Arrival & parking
Are there parking options?
A garage parking space is included in all categories except the Dolomiten Suite. Additional garage spaces can be reserved for €11 per day (limited availability); free, uncovered parking is also available at the hotel.
Is there a charging station for electric cars?
Yes, a charging station for electric vehicles is available directly at the hotel. Charges are settled based on consumption.
How can I use public transport?
As a lodge guest you receive the SüdtirolGuestPass, with which all public buses and regional trains throughout South Tyrol can be used free of charge.
